 Bean's Memoir and Manual, its subtitle, has verve and flair. Other reviewers have called it "hilarious." We call it a healthy look at the marriage of cultures and generations. It is an adventure into similarities and differences, not all fact nor all fiction. It is tidbits added or eaten making the author's family real. In some ways they are seen, as was her husband's picture in a museum, upside down.
