 Bean’s Memoir and Manual, its subtitle, has verve and flair. Other reviewers have called it "hilarious." We consider it a healthy look at the marriage of cultures and generations. It is an adventure into similarities and differences, and is not all fact nor all fiction. It is tidbits added or eaten making the author's family real. In some ways they are seen, as was her husband’s picture in a museum, upside down.
