Long Cooked Pigs Feet
4 pork feet cut into 3 pieces each
2 slices ginger
4 cloves garlic
1 whole star anise
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 Tablespoons cooking wine
2 Tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
a pinch of white pepper
1 and 1/2 cups water
1. Place all ingredients in a five-quart slow cooker and cook over high heat for four to five hours.
2. Chill, then discard any congealed fat.
3. Reheat and serve.
