Kazak Noodle Soup

Soups and Congees

Kazak Noodle Soup
Ingredients:
1 pound lamb, cut into match-stick strips
6 cups lamb or chicken broth
2 cups thin noodles
1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup diced onions
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
Preparation:
1. Blanch lamb strips into boiling water, rinse and put into a pot with the broth and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for twenty minutes.
2.Add noodles, pepper and salt, and the onions, and simmer five more minutes or until noodles are done, then serve in individual bowls and sprinkle some of the cumin seeds on each of them.
