This review in response to a letter from Aileen via e-mail who asked: Did you not eat out when at the Top 100 Awards ceremonyy? And if so, can you share something about those restaurants, I'd like to know as i live near where they were awarded.
AILEEN: Yes, did have several meals in Millbrae, however only ate at each restaurant once, and did not select the food; it was pre-ordered for us.

We were taken to Chili Palace and South Sea Seafood Village with the conference, this place before it, by friends, and not with the conference guests. Each of these are reported one by one, do check them out iamong the Restaurant reviews in Volume 18(4).

Before arriving, a friend dropping me off at the event, took me to this Zen Peninsula for dim sum. Here, the chicken feet were fantastic, the shark's fin with pork sui mai could not have been better, and the special of the day sui mai made with fois gras was just out of this world. Had I been the host, would have ordered many more. Not as exciting was the jasmine tea, It did have lots of flowers in the pot, but little aroma and less taste. Loved the zen of dim sum made to order here. Also loved checking off a small sheet as to which dim sum one wants. Usuual ones are printed in black, red ones are top sellers, blue ones are new, and vegetarian ones are printed in green. What a fantastic way to inform their customers. Noticed they had many dfferent menus for banquets, birthdays, and other best events. These friends love the place, been to many of them, and said the food here is always appreciated.
