A new volume in the 'Images of America' series, this one tells about Chinese immigrants through photographs, most from the 19th century to today. The many Chinese who came to New York City, raised families there. They established businesses, celebrated Chinese New Year, worked and played, and practiced homeland traditions.

The historic sepia photographs show their input and how they shaped its Chinatown. Look at them and read the captions. They enrich knowledge of the people and culture that defined them, their deep-rooted heritage, their new life in their new country, and so much more.
