 Subtitled: Where Chinese settled when they discovered America, this book offers what the author calls 'tangible proof' that the Chinese did settle in the New World before Christopher Columbus.
His several years of research, beginning in 2002, includes using aerial and site maps, and photographs. Chiasson is an architect, convinced, as are others, that a large Chinese colony did settle and live here for many years before Christopher Columbus. Many have looked for the legendary Island of Seven Cities, he believes he found it when he climbed a mountain, found a huge road, a major undertaking, that was some one hundred feet wide with stone wall borders. It has never been reported nor recorded before. Not Portuguese, French, English, nor Scottish, he says this road predates John Cabot's 1497 discovery of this island. He believes the ruins were misunderstood, overlooked, or both; and that they are actually Chinese, and in the North Atlantic on Canada's Northeastern shore. He documents this using a drawing by Columbus. He shows it matches the shape and orientation of Cape Breton Island. His findings were presented at the Smithsonian Museum In Washington D.C. We wonder why no food evidence exists, someone needs to work on that. All interested in China should read this book and see if they agree. We are leaning in that direction; will you?
