Spring Volume: 2012 Issue: 19(1) page(s): 20

This volume, in Chinese and English has sixty recipes written in standard style, and it comes with a CD. Every recipe has a full-page color photograph of its completed dish, and four smaller ones of steps in its preparation. In the bilingual Table of Contents the recipe categories are titled only in Chinese, while the recipes themselves are in both languages. Their ingredients and seasonings are listed separately. One problem, the exact amounts of each of them is only in Chinese.

A friend did cook one for me and said it was simple and delicious. She did translate the Chinese amounts for your use. If you do not have that help, photocopy and scan them in to your computer and let google or another web translation service be your translator friend; that is if if you have a scanner.

No recipe follows. Let this book be an education for authors and publishers. They need to listen up. The way this book is, they are eliminating many who might purchase it.
