Millet Congee

Soups and Congees

Millet Congee
Ingredients:
½ cup millet, soaked overnight
1 cup peeled and grated fresh pumpkin
1 Tablespoon crushed brown rock sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
1. Bring the millet to the boil in four cold water, reduce the heat and simmer for one hour.
2. Add the grated pumpkin, sugar, and the salt and simmer until the sugar is dissolved and the millet soft. Serve hot or warm.
